Windows 7 - Prevent the System from Automatically Restarting
A reflection on Windows 7 features will tell us that if the operating system Windows 7 fails due to driver error and your system restarts, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Just click the "Start" button after selecting "Control Panel". After that, click "System and Security", and then "System". In the left pane, select "Advanced system settings". If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click "Yes". The "System Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears. Click the "Advanced" tab. Underneath "Startup and Recovery", click the "Settings" button. After that in Windows 7 the "Startup and Recovery" dialog box appears. Underneath "System failure", uncheck "Automatically restart". Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them.
Meanwhile, in Windows 7, you can also set Process Priorities to boost your system. You will have to determine which processes should get the most attention in your Windows 7 system.
If your main program or process running too slow on your Windows 7 version, you can raise the priority of it.
You can open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc together on keyboard. The multi-tabbed "Windows Task Manager" should appear. Make sure the "Applications" tab is selected. If the process you need to change is linked to an application, right-click it and choose "Go to Process" from the pop-up menu that appears.
Otherwise, click the "Processes tab" to find a process you need to change. Right-click a process and select "Set Priority". If you cannot find the process that needs its priority changed, click the "Show processes from all users" button. You may have to confirm your action via User Account Control.
From here you can select from the following possible priorities (highest to lowest): Realtime, High, Above Normal, Below Normal, Normal, and Low.
If you are sure you want to change the process priority, click the "Change priority" button when prompted.
You cannot change priorities permanently, next time you reboot your computer default priority will be there. Save all open files before trying this trick.

Windows 7 in action: A Smarter Way to Manage Windows
In recent months, I have broken hundreds of images of the interface of Windows 7, for use in galleries here at ZDNet (like this and this), and Windows 7 Inside Out. However, static images do not do justice to some of the nuances of reality, using a function. So when the video production ZDNet crack team offered to help produce some screencasts, I seized the opportunity.
No doubt you've heard of Aero and Aero Snap Shake. Here is a chance to see these features in action.
I even remember the first time I saw this feature demonstrated for me. I was immediately impressed with the idea of mouse gestures could make it easier window management. This is especially important these days in 20 - and 24-inch monitors are very common.
In fact, after using Windows 7 for almost a full year, I must confess that I am spoiled by this feature, more than any other. When using a computer with another operating system, Windows Vista, XP or OS X, I really miss the ability to maximize and minimize a window with a mouse movement or break a window in the lateral position of the screen.
This is the first of four Windows 7 demos I've done in this series. Look for the next next week at this time.

Safari 4.0.2 is now available:
The update from Apple fixes two vulnerabilities in the browser and improves
the stability of the JavaScript engine Nitro.
Launched in final version in early June, Safari 4 has been updated by Apple. This version 4.0.2 does not add functionality. It simply fixes two vulnerabilities identified in the application.
The two holes, one at WebKit, Safari 4 exposed to attacks via malicious Web pages. The most critical vulnerability could run arbitrary code on a computer.
Apple has also used this update to fix a stability problem of the browser. Safari users have indeed reported closure of the application. The editor has therefore refined the code to its JavaScript engine, Nitro, to make a solution.
More browsing space:-
Safari browser is designed to emphasize, rather than the browser. In the browser is a single pixel wide. You will see a scroll bar only when needed. By default, no status bar. Instead, a progress indicator will be to load your page. The label you will find the top of the browser, open the window wider Views website. A great browser, Safari browser, you can simply enjoy the network.
Find the sites you need:
To find the websites you visit in the past, but you can not remember? Use search to quickly find the historical integrity of the site or even the use of search terms sketchiest. When you click the page in the Cover Flow, it is because you already know, it's website you are looking for. There are no more speculation. Safari for Windows - Do we really need another browser?
If you look at the four major browsers, now (Internet Explorer 7, the Firefox 2.0, Opera 9 and Safari but really is not much difference between them. They have done almost the same thing in almost the same way, they have their own quirks, they seem to have easy "leaky bucket" syndrome that security.
Apple said, Safari is faster - twice as fast as, Internet Explorer and 1.6 times the speed of Firefox 2.0. From Apple's Web site claims that, Safari is faster than 7, Firefox 2.0 and Opera 9 rendering said HTML format, in the implementation of JavaScript and browser launches.
Easy Bookmarks
Safari browser has a simple system to bookmark. They seem to have been taken to the iTunes model and the application of the Organization browser bookmarks. Browse and organize bookmarks in Safari faster and more easily in any of the IE7, Firefox or Opera.
Safari browser is very pleased to use, if I become a Safari browser users can see their organizations in this browser bookmarks, not just so that they like me in a mess in other browsers.
Embedded search
Another feature built-finding is that Apple has successfully nails, and other browsers are still
struggling. After a few seconds using the built-in Safari browser to find you begin to hope that all other applications (including Windows) to engage in this way.
Built-in RSS
I like the built-in RSS reader in Safari. RSS information is clear and provides all the tools you use to facilitate the right from the menu. However, like the RSS reader in all browsers, I do not think they use it, because I used more than one desktop sidebar and FeedDemon to handle my feeds (although I might go to Google Reader at some point).
Private browsing
Private browsing, you can set Safari not to save the records in your surfing. This includes the page cache, the cache of cookies, history and information form. This may be a useful function, to maintain the safety of the visit, do banking and online shopping site. But the problem is that it is considered abuse because there is no visual cues hinder, to tell you that your private browsing mode.
Some other feature is much security, resizable text fields, Tabbed browsing, snapback, pop-up blocking and Forms Autofill.

Apple Safari 4: More Safety and Speed
On the occasion of the Apple developer conference WWDC in 2009 operating system, "Snow Leopard" is leaving the Safari browser to the beta status and the final version 4.0 is available. The update includes over 50 vulnerabilities in beta, contains some corrections and beauty for the new features.
Vulnerabilities closed:-
With the final version of Apple Safari 4 includes more than 50 vulnerabilities. This allows the browser to PDF and PNG files no longer harmful code, even so-called "click-jacking" and "cross-site scripting" is no longer possible. Some of the fixes also lead to an improved stability of the browser. Many of the corrections meet both Mac OSX and on Windows.
Also iGoogle and Wordpress users may be happy. In Safari 4 beta showed both applications errors in the JavaScript interpretation, the use of iGoogle and Wordpress considerably difficult. This bug is now with the final version of the browser.
Speed with Snow Leopard:-
For the operating system for September announced "Snow Leopard", Apple already has several additional functions and is prepared primarily on speed. Like all the main applications of the upcoming operating system is also completely in Safari 64-bit mode. Moreover, the browser of the 64-bit JavaScript engine.
Most crashes in Safari browser plug-ins to solve out. Apple announced that it crashes with a "Crash Resistance" feature to bypass designated. If a plug is faulty, Safari is only the plugin on the site and block as a white surface with a plugin icon issue. The browser itself remains unaffected. By clicking on the plugin icon allows the user to the appropriate plugin without restarting the browser update.
With the popular web browser Acid3 test achieved the browser with the final version of the full error-free points and thus suggests itself Chrome and Firefox 2.0. In addition, Safari on the new web HTML 5 and CSS 3rd Apple describes the new browser Safari 4.0 as the "fastest browser in the world". Previous tests have shown that this is only partially true. With the features for Snow Leopard, but this assertion could be true
Slightly changed surface
Even with the beta version of the browser, the company from Cupertino a few new features for the graphical user interface front. For example, the browser with "Top Sites" a view of the most frequently used websites. The inclusion of "Cover Flow" in the Chronicle simplifies the search for recently visited pages.
In addition, Safari 4 beta has received a Table on top of the window similar to the Google Chrome browser as well as a new indicator for the Self HTML websites. Meanwhile there is the Table again in its usual place. After many negative votes seems to be Apple also decided to have the status indicator to re-work.

Safari Browser version 3 : Now safari 4 is available.
The first beta version (3.01) becomes, in fact, generally unusable. Internet surfing, it was impossible to deal with - (off) the site every second. This failure is seriously undermined the credibility of the Safari for Windows (do the developers have not tested this beta in the real Internet environment, But in honor of Apple, it must be recognized that in just a few days, the corrected version has been released, received a number of 3.1.
It has had no such problems, although its pitfalls, and have been here. First, the promised acceleration time downloading sites (compared to Internet Explorer 7) I have not felt. Perhaps, in the specialized tests, and something similar can be seen, but in practice - Safari was no faster than other browsers. Besides, after some time came a strange bug: when clicking on the bookmark browser a few seconds, before you start to open the site (ie, those few seconds in the address bar does not show the new address, respectively, it was unclear whether the download site launched or even the browser hangs).
Further, the Safari 3 were serious problems with the encoding: the text of many sites to display. Choosing the correct encoding manually are not always helped. While Internet Explorer (and 7, and 8) displays the same site without any problems. Finally, Safari has been very sensitive to errors in the html-code, but to this subject we will return.
Safari 4 is typical of the products Apple: because of the design. Safari 3 seemed quite, scrolling in the form of drlops of blue, metallic color of the windows, the total dominance of strong hues. Safari interface looked something totally alien, but to those who are sympathetic to the style of Mac OS, it was just a balm for the soul! Confess that I myself used Safari 3 for Windows for this reason. Plus, the entire text of browser look a little different than in IE, and in my opinion, read it, it was much nicer.
In safari 4 , there's a new regime of Top Sites. This is something like History, only in graphical form. Instead of faceless addresses, we see a few images most frequently visited our pages. To get to the site, just click on one of these windows. A set of windows can be edited by removing from it those you do not need, and vice versa, adding the missing, but not quite understood the meaning of all this. After all, Bookmarks Bar, and so we are. In general, this mode is similar to Cover Flow on iPod Touch and iPhone: very nice, but in reality - marginally useful
Safari 4 is a complete analog and Cover Flow - it is, actually, History. In the same way you can display and the Bookmarks Bar. But, that's what is curious is to see the History Cover Flow mode is very convenient (especially given the fact that History is displayed just below the text version).

Internet Explorer 8 vs. Safari 4
March-a month marked with two major releases of Internet: Microsoft has released the final version of Internet Explorer 8, as the company Apple, eternal rival MS, presented a new, fourth version of its browser - Safari for Windows (it's true, yet in the beta-phase). We decided to compare with each other browsers, but also - to examine the changes that were made by developers in new version. first - a bit of history. But first - a bit of history.
To the general public releases IE8 appeared a year ago. Besides, the whole last year, Microsoft increasingly attracted attention in the new version of the browser: it was represented in Moscow, the first person company (Steve Balmer, Erik Radder, Mark Russian), its ability to demonstrate at press events and various workshops. MS activity is clear: in addition to those already familiar rivals in the face of Firefox 3 and Opera 9, the popularity of Internet Explorer began to threaten the two new players in the market of Windows-Browser: Google Chrome and that Apple Safari.
The two new items were in his own surprise: the Internet Corporation of Google have not produced any browser, and Apple - not making browsers for Windows. But now both companies have decided to expand its sphere of influence. The main advantage Apple and Google were not even the functionality of the browser, but the reputation of the companies - those of a large army, who were forced to work on the PC, immediately scrambled to install Safari, do not even think about what benefits they provide. Similarly, and with Google Chrome: the Internet community is not without reason decided that no one can make the browser more convenient, faster and more reliable than the creators of the best search engine, and excellent online services.
In safari 4, the design of browser is some difference . Safari 3 seemed quite, scrolling in the form of drops of blue, metallic color of the windows, the total dominance of strong hues. Safari interface looked something totally alien, but to those who are sympathetic to the style of MacOS, it was just a balm for the soul. Confess that I myself used Safari 3 for Windows for this reason. Plus, the entire text of browser look a little different than in IE, and in my opinion, read it, it was much nicer.
